CAP Programs

We offer a variety of educational programs and program series.

  • Making A Difference is an abstinence-based program designed to help middle school students develop the skills necessary to delay the onset on sexual activity. This program consists of 8 1-hour sessions that allow teens the opportunity to learn and practice the skills necessary to be a sexually healthy person.

  • Be Proud, Be Responsible is a comprehensive evidence-based program that is designed to empower high school students to delay the onset of sexual activity, reduce the frequency, reduce the number of sexual partners and increase condom and contraceptive use. this program consists of 6 1-hour sessions that allow teens the opportunity to learn and practice the skills necessary to be a sexually healthy person.

  • Puberty and Growing Up explores the many physical as well as social and emotional changes that preteens can expect as they go through puberty.

  • Parent – Teen Communication is an after school or evening session for parents and teens to gain tips and tools for effective family communication.

  • Body Image and the Media explores how to use media literacy skills to explore the meaning and impact of messages and images about body images and sexuality.

  • Communication Skills teaches young people how to talk and listen with respect and honesty.

  • Healthy Relationships teaches skills necessary to build healthy relationships with friends, and family as well as a partner.

  • STDs and HIV Awareness and Prevention provides the facts about sexually transmitted infections and how to avoid them.

  • Birth Control 101 provides information about abstinence as well as contraceptive methods including condoms.

  • Safe Schools Programming provides information on how to actively address bias and homophobia and make your school/program a safe space for all teens.

  • Safe Tech offers methods on how to protect yourself when using technology such as texting, Facebook, Twitter, online chatting etc.
